Ed’s Farm
Ed lives on the top of Petit Jean Mountain in Morrilton, AR. He runs a self-serve community market and hosts a weekly farmer’s market out of his barn where local vendors sell food, furniture, and handcrafted goods.
Ed maintains relationships with members of the local Amish community who sell their product at his market.
Although he lives a fairly off-the-grid lifestyle, Ed, with the help of his wife and daughter, turned to the campsite hosting app, Hipcamp, during the pandemic as a way to safely meet new people and combat isolation. Ed’s “Petit Jean Farm Orchard” campsite has since been awarded Hipcamp’s “Best Campsite in Arkansas” as he continues to host hundreds of visitors per year.
Here are some photographs documenting my 12 hour stay on Ed’s Land.
